ICAA’s Sawyer Co. Food Pantry Partnering With Hayward Community Food Shelf

Hayward, WI — Indianhead Community Action Agency, Inc. (ICAA) is excited to announce the ICAA Sawyer Co. Food Pantry is partnering with the Hayward Community Food Shelf (HCFS). The Connections Store, which formerly housed the food pantry closed at the end of August, although food pantry services have continued at the same location. Since then, ICAA has partnered with the Hayward Community Food Shelf, and plans to move the food pantry to their location.

ICAA’s CEO, Jennifer Shearer said, “We are excited to enter into a new partnership with Hayward Community Food Shelf. Our goal is to help provide healthy food options for low-income individuals and families throughout Sawyer County. It’s an important resource for the communities and the partnership with HCFS will help us continue our goal.” HCFS Chair, Barb Schweig added, “the HCFS volunteers are looking forward to working with ICAA and being able to distribute more food to more people in our community as a result of this partnership.” The food pantry will continue operations at its current location in Hayward (16058 US Highway 63) through December 31, 2019.

Beginning January 1, 2020, the ICAA Sawyer Co. Food Pantry will close and move services to Hayward Community Food Shelf’s location at 16216 W Hwy 63 in Hayward. Regular operating hours for the Hayward Community Food Shelf are 9:00-12:00 every Monday and the first Saturday each month.
