RUSK COUNTY (DrydenWire) – Charges of conspiracy to commit homicide have been re-filed in Rusk County Circuit Court against Malcolm F. Young, age 66, just weeks after they were previously dismissed.

According to a newly filed criminal complaint, Young allegedly offered to pay a fellow inmate to carry out a murder while both were in custody at the Rusk County Jail in October 2024. The disturbing allegations include detailed plans for homicide, robbery, and threats of retaliation.

Young, who is now serving a prison sentence on unrelated convictions, is set to appear in Rusk County Court on the new criminal charges in June 2025.
