UPDATE: Homicide Charges Filed In Polk County Shooting; Court Orders $250,000 Cash Bond

POLK COUNTY -- Charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide have been filed against Michael Radke, of Luck, WI, following the shooting death of Chad Daniels on October 29, 2021.

Radke appeared in Polk County Circuit Court on November 1, 2021, regarding his charges. Online circuit court records indicate that Polk County Prosecutors requested a $100,000 cash bond for Radke. The Hon. James Krupa ordered a $250,000 cash bond with conditions that he not possess or use any firearms and have no contact with the family of the victim.

DrydenWire published a post on October 29, 2021, stating that the Polk County Sheriff’s Office had one in custody following the shooting incident on Butternut Avenue, in Luck, WI that resulted in the death of one.

On November 1, 2021, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office released both the name of the victim of the shooting, Chad Daniels, and the suspect in the shooting, Michael Radke, age 34.

Online circuit court records show that Radke is charged with Class A Felony 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.

Radke is scheduled to appear again in November 2021 for a preliminary examination hearing.
