WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Washburn County ended in a marsh, with the suspect swimming in an attempt to evade capture. Chad Merritt, age 28, fled from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle but was ultimately arrested. Merritt now faces multiple criminal charges in Washburn County Circuit Court.
