UPDATE: On June 19, 2023, a court hearing was held regarding the felony charges of operating while intoxicated that were filed in Washburn County Circuit Court against Mason Bajanen. Online circuit court records show that during the hearing Washburn County Assistant District Attorney Ness advised the Court that Mr. Bajanen is deceased. The case has now been dismissed.
(DrydenWire) -- Felony charges of OWI have been filed against Mason Bajanen, of Hayward, WI, stemming from an incident in October 2022 in Washburn County during which Bajanen allegedly drove his motorcycle at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on US Highway 53 between Sarona, WI, and Trego, WI. A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper conducted a traffic stop on Mason’s motorcycle, and Mason was subsequently taken into custody.
