BARRON COUNTY -- Community members are invited to help create a better way to serve neighbors in need. On September 18th, the Barron County Department of Health and Human Services and area healthcare providers are hosting a community-wide meeting. The meeting will look at how conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age can affect health and what can be done to help. Come listen to personal stories and explore four programs that can better connect community members to resources.
“We have an exciting opportunity to create something that can really help people in Barron County, says Sarah Turner, Public Health Specialist. The idea is to create some sort of hub where people can come for help with a variety of needs. We want to make accessing services as easy as possible. We want to serve our neighbors in a better way. To do that, we need feedback and ideas from a wide variety of people.”
If you are interested in being a part of this county-wide project, please plan on attending the meeting on September 18th. It will be held from 10am-3pm in Barron at the Government Center. Free lunch is provided. Please register by email at: health@co.barron.wi.us or call (715) 537-5691 ext. 6442.
