Frederic Man Arrested For OWI-4th Offense, Two Children In Vehicle

POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) -Timothy H Ainley, 59 years of age, from Frederic, WI, has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP) Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

According to the WSP, on Sunday, November 19th, at approximately 6:42p, A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on STH 35 at Main Avenue in Lewis. The Trooper observed that the driver, Ainley, showed signs of impairment.

A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Ainley was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of an intoxicant- 4th offense while having minor passengers in the vehicle and violating protection injunctions.

The five and eight-year-old passengers were turned over to a sober family member, according to the WSP.

Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
