Flex Gymnastics sent 39 team gymnasts to the Wisconsin State Xcel Meet in Green Bay the weekend of March 19 - 21.
The Flex teams had an amazing showing. The Bronze team, made up of 11 gymnasts took 1st place out of 16 teams. The Silver team, made up of 12 gymnasts, placed 5th out of 28 teams. Next up, the six-member Gold team earned 4th place out of 29 teams. The five-gymnast Platinum team placed 8th out of 21 teams. Finally, the Flex Diamond team, made up of five gymnasts placed 1st out of nine teams. Of the 39 gymnasts that competed at State from Flex, 21 of those gymnasts placed in the top three All-Around for their age division. Gymnasts also won many medals in individual events.
Incredibly, all 39 Flex gymnasts that competed at State earned a qualifying score high enough to advance them to the Regional Meet in Cedar Rapids, IA April 23 - 25. Regional competition does not include team scores since individual gymnasts have to qualify.
Wisconsin is part of Region 4, and Flex Gymnasts will compete against qualifying gymnasts from MN, WI, IA, ND, SD, NE, and MO.
