SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) – The first of two people charged following a dispute in Sawyer County that escalated into a tense standoff involving firearms, explosives, and multiple arrests has been sentenced.

On January 25, 2025, deputies responded to an alleged physical altercation between 47-year-old Michael Aaron Colalillo Sr. (pictured left) and a victim at a property in Sawyer County. What began as a disagreement over security cameras quickly turned violent, with allegations of assault, illegal firearms possession, and the creation of homemade explosives.

Law enforcement conducted an extensive investigation, leading to the arrests of Colalillo Sr. and 40-year-old Zachory Horan (pictured right). Charges are still proceeding against Colalillo Sr.

Horan was sentenced during a recent hearing on a conviction from his court case.
