NORTHWEST, WI — After nearly five years and over 230 episodes, this Tuesday will mark the final installment of the popular live-stream show “Positive Tuesday with Ben & Fitzy.” The show, co-hosted by DrydenWire founder Ben Dryden and Barron County Sheriff Chris “Fitzy” Fitzgerald, has become a staple for viewers across Northwest Wisconsin since its inception — bringing a mix of levity, insight, and candid conversations to its audience every week.
The show airs live on DrydenWire’s Facebook page every Tuesday at 8:30a and runs approximately 45 minutes. Following its live broadcast, episodes are later posted on DrydenWire.com and DrydenWire’s YouTube channel.
This Tuesday’s episode will be the 232nd — and final — show for the duo.
The conclusion of “Positive Tuesday” comes as Sheriff Fitzgerald prepares to retire from law enforcement. He previously announced his retirement, with his final day on duty set for June 1st. After decades of service, Fitzy will be stepping into a new role in the private sector with Mosaic Technologies.
Dryden has confirmed there are no plans to replace the Tuesday show. Instead, he says he will be focusing his energy on DrydenWire’s Thursday morning show, “DrydenWire Live,” which he acknowledged has been neglected in recent months. Additionally, Dryden hinted at an upcoming new project that he and two others plan to launch in the next 6 to 9 months.
“It’s been quite a ride,” said Dryden. Over the years, the pair tackled a wide range of topics, never shying away from the tough ones, while always managing to bring humor and perspective to their weekly discussions.
What they’ll miss most, both say, are the fans and the regular viewers who tuned in each week.
“But all good things must come to an end,” said Dryden.
The final episode of “Positive Tuesday with Ben & Fitzy” will air live Tuesday morning at 8:30a on DrydenWire’s Facebook page.
