LUCK, WI (DrydenWire) - A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred late Saturday morning at the intersection of State Highway 48 and County Highway I.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, On Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00a, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Hwy 48 and County Highway I approximately 3 miles east of the Village of Luck.
A pickup with 4 occupants was northbound on County I and failed to stop at the stop sign.
The pickup struck an eastbound SUV with 2 occupants on Hwy 48.
A passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased will be released later time, according to Sheriff Waak.
Assisting the Polk County Sheriff’s Office with this crash was Luck Fire, Northwestern Municipal EMS, Lakes Region EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Polk County Medical Examiner.
The Crash remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
