What is Family Strengthening Month?
April is Family Strengthening Month. Throughout this month, LFRC encourages individuals and organizations to support family strengthening efforts in Wisconsin.
Research shows that positive childhood experiences provide fertile ground for children’s physical and mental health, learning and social skills. LFRC recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child maltreatment. We encourage you to acknowledge this month and the focus on ways families can build safe and nurturing environments for children.
Please join us during Family Strengthening Month this April to help strengthen families
April 4 - WEAR BLUE DAY
Wearing blue is more than just a color, it's a statement. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable and nurturing environment. Show your support by promoting and strengthening efforts in Wisconsin by wearing blue.
- Take a picture of yourself and your colleagues wearing blue and share it with us!
