WOODVILLE, WI — Family Friendly Workplaces (FFW) announced today a successful first six months of full-time operations, in which they more than doubled the number of certified employers in western Wisconsin. As of December 31, 2022, FFW counted 15 Certified Family Friendly Workplaces in St. Croix, Pierce, and Polk counties.
“I want to thank all of our certified employers for their participation in our program, and for valuing their employees’ families,” said Neil Kline, Executive Director of FFW. “We anticipate continued strong interest in our program in 2023, and are excited to continue celebrating employers who are engaged in supporting families and strengthening our region’s workforce.”
FFW is grateful for the support of their corporate sponsors, who are OEM Fabricators, Xcel Energy, Bremer Bank, JA Counter-Alera, and Krumm Exteriors “We would not be able to do our work without the support of our Corporate Sponsors,” said Neil. “I want to give a big thank you to them for their invaluable financial support and technical expertise.”
Northwestern Wisconsin faces a long-term human resources challenge which demands a strategic response to address. The Family Friendly Workplaces Certification Program is designed to help employers compete for talent today, while also strategically addressing this long-term problem.
To be certified, Family Friendly Workplaces conducts a thorough review of an employer’s human resources policies and practices, awarding points in their matrix for policies and practices which support families and children. Certified employers can then use the Family Friendly Workplaces logo in their marketing and recruitment efforts, as well as access a wide-range of additional resources.
Family Friendly Workplaces works to address northwestern Wisconsin's workforce shortage, and strengthen northwestern Wisconsin families, by certifying businesses as Family Friendly, and encouraging the adoption of Family Friendly practices.
