WASHBURN COUNTY -- The Court has sentenced Justin Schutz, of Spooner, WI, on a conviction of sexual assault of a child following revocation of a deferred agreement due to conviction for child pornography possession.
Schutz was convicted and subsequently sentenced in August 2021 on a charge of possession of child pornography. These charges stemmed from information that was provided to the WI ICAC Task Force through an international investigation into the distribution of child pornography involving the United States Department of Homeland Security and an investigation team based in Essex, England. The information identified Schutz as a suspect, and the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office initiated a local investigation.
