Court Sentences Man Convicted Of Fatal Polk County Shooting

POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - The Court has sentenced Michael Radke, for a conviction from the fatal shooting of Chad Daniels in October 2021 in the Village of Luck, WI.

Radke was held in custody on a $250,000 cash bond since his arrest following the fatal shooting.

On October 29, 2021, the Polk County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a call stating that there was a gunshot victim at an address on Butternut Ave. in the Village of Luck, WI.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a deceased male. The male was later identified as Chad Daniels.

Law enforcement also located and took into custody, Michael Radke. Charges were subsequently filed against Radke, for Class A Felony 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.

Online circuit court records show that Radke was placed on a $250,000 cash bond at a hearing on November 1, 2021. After numerous court hearings, Radke appeared in April 2023, while in custody, and entered a plea of guilty to his charge. Hon. Jeffery Anderson accepted Radke’s plea and found him guilty.

Radke appeared most recently on June 22, 2023, for a sentencing hearing on his conviction.

Judge Anderson ordered Radke to serve 1 Life Sentence, with the possibility of release on supervision after 50 years of confinement.
