BARRON COUNTY -- The Court has accepted a plea to an amended charge for Tyler Bronstad, who was charged with disorderly conduct in Barron County for posting disturbing videos on Facebook.
DrydenWire published a news release from the Chetek Police Department on June 3, 2021, regarding the arrest of Tyler Bronstad, age 22, of Chetek, WI.
The Chetek Police Department received several disturbing Facebook videos of a male subject referencing young children on June 2, 2021, according to the news release. The Police Department also received several phone calls indicating that the male subject in the videos was in the vicinity of the Roselawn Elementary School.
Bronstad was taken into custody and later charged with Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct. The criminal complaint filed against Bronstad states that law enforcement reviewed two videos from Facebook in which Bronstad could be seen making disturbing references about doing things to children. Law enforcement had received over 50 complaints about the statements made by the defendant. Staff members of Roselawn Elementary School advised law enforcement that Bronstad had been seen on multiple occasions during May 2021 in the area of Roselawn Elementary School.
Online circuit court records show that at a recent court hearing in Barron County the Court accepted a motion from the State to amend the charge against Bronstad to a charge of non-criminal county ordinance disorderly conduct. Bronstad’s attorney appeared for Bronstad and entered a plea of No Contest on his behalf, which the Court accepted. Details of the reason for the amended charge are not included in online court records.
Bronstad was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $267.50.
