SPOONER, WI — U.S. Congressman Tom Tiffany joined DrydenWire.com founder Ben Dryden live this morning, Friday, September 5, 2025, for a candid, unscripted conversation about issues facing both Wisconsin and the nation—with a particular focus on his vision for the state’s future.
The discussion opened with some lighthearted conversation about Tiffany’s August congressional break, before turning to his upcoming telephone town hall with Secretary Sean Duffy. Tiffany previewed the event, which will highlight the success of the largest tax cut in history for working families.
The conversation then turned to developments in Wisconsin. Tiffany addressed questions about a potential run for governor and his stance on key issues affecting the state. He emphasized the need to restore affordability, strengthen education, and protect the American dream in Wisconsin—a dream he believes is slipping away for too many Wisconsin families under Democrat leadership.
On abortion, Tiffany reaffirmed that if he runs for governor, he will protect and uphold the law he helped pass in 2015 under then-Governor Scott Walker, which allows abortion up to five months and remains the law in Wisconsin today. He also voiced support for expanding exceptions to include cases of rape and incest, in addition to the current exception for the life of the mother.
Tom stated, “I will support upholding that law. I voted for it. I stand by that vote, ten years ago, for the bill that was signed into law, that is current law in Wisconsin, for up to five months you can have an abortion, and I will defend that law if I were elected.”
