Press Release
The Chetek Chamber of Commerce, Chetek Hydroflites and Twin City Power Boat Association announce that Water Mania II, scheduled for August 29 & 30, 2020, has been rescheduled for August 28 & 29, 2021.
As COVID-19 concerns continue to linger over summer events, the hosting organizations determined it would be difficult to maintain the high quality of the event demonstrated at it’s debut in 2019. A primary concern was the uncertain availability of boat drivers coming from out of state as well as Canada. Additionally, they were assessing the potential for sponsorships & additional entertainment between races.
Over the past several weeks, the planners were optimistic in trying to fill out the weekend with exciting family entertainment. After much deliberation, however, it was determined there were too many variables to ensure a quality event.
All 3 groups are on board and excited to host Water Mania II in 2021 packed with high speed boat racing action and family entertainment acts. The Chetek Chamber of Commerce is planning a golf outing for that weekend. Details for that event will be on their Facebook page and website.
