BURNETT COUNTY — A 79-year-old pilot from Hudson, WI was uninjured after his plane crashed into Mudhen Lake in Burnett County, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.
PRESS RELEASE
On June 18, 2025, at 3:17 p.m. Burnett County Dispatch received a call that an airplane had crashed into Mudhen Lake in Daniels Township. It was reported that one occupant had exited the airplane and was on a pontoon operated by a Good Samaritan.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the pilot was the lone occupant of the airplane. The pilot, Craig Johnson, 79 years old, of Hudson, WI was uninjured. The airplane is a 1979 Cessna U206G.
The FAA is investigating the crash.
