Celebration Of Jayme's Return, Benefit For Bob And Jennifer Set For Saturday

The Celebration for Jayme's return and Bob and Jennifer Benefit is going to be a wonderful event to celebrate a very brave girl and start a new chapter in their lives. Recovery is a long process, but we hope this will help in that process.

Over 100 volunteers are coming together to get set up, help at tables, serve food, and run auctions. Silent auctions and Chinese raffle will have items that close at different times throughout the day. Paddle raffle paddles will be sold throughout the entire event. (picture attached. Created by Bill Balts, Bob Smith, Arnie & Cris Featherly, and Justin Balts)

Attached is a picture of some of the team that met yesterday (Thursday) to sort donated items into the different raffles and auctions. (left to right, Heather Manecke, Toni Saffert, Roxanne White, Shelly Balts, Melissa Smith, Arnie Featherly, and Sandi Hause) We have been so grateful to all who have helped.

We have over 300 items for the silent auction, live auction, paddle raffle, and Chinese auction. Some of the items donated for the other auctions include handmade signs (picture attached - Believe sign donated by Heather Manecke), baskets and items made and put together by local businesses, like the butcher block donated by Kurt and Tricia Molls (picture attached), many gift certificates from local businesses like $500 Parco gift certificates and $50 Dairy Queen gift certificates. We are so thankful to each and every business that donated or helped sponsor the event. We wish we could list them All, but it would be pages of donors.

The bake sale will have lots of yummy treats. Small Town Strong t-shirts will be sold for $10.00. Games People Play in Austin, Minnesota designed and donated these.

We'll serve a spaghetti lunch from 11 to 2, or until food runs out. A huge thank you to our food and paper good sponsors, whom helped us get much of the food at discounted or donated cost. Jennie-O Turkey, WestConsin Credit Union, Barron County Dairy promoters, Check Into Cash, Bernick’s Pepsi, Security Bank, Dairy State Bank, Johnson’s Market, ConAgra Foods, Argo Coffee, Affinity Group Food Marketing, Kohl’s, and the Dale Prine Family.

A short program will take place at 2:00, with live auction to follow.

Some of the items that will be in the live auction are: A Husqvarna Chainsaw donated by Mark's Small Engine and Red Cedar Trucking, a handcrafted wood table donated by the Lance Manecke Family, A craftmaster sofa donated by Northern Furniture in Barron, A Henry American Eagle donated by Henry Repeating Arms, A Favre 200th game autographed picture and ticket donated by Eldon Kval, A Chris Kroeze package that includes Country Jam tickets donated by Chris Kroeze and Dallas Sloan, A beautiful hope inspired quilt (picture attached) made by Jane Berseth, Jayme's aunt, 2 Batman Lego sets donated by Lynn Naiberg, and much more.

Thank you to the Barron Area School District for allowing us to host this event at the school and for their support in this process. We are small town strong!
