POLK COUNTY — A Car vs Motorcycle crash on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in Polk County has resulted in the death of a 67-year-old man from St. Croix Falls, according to a press release from the St. Croix Falls Police Department.

On August 22nd at 4:36PM St. Croix Falls Police responded to a car vs. motorcycle crash at the intersection of USHWY 8 and 220th Street.
The west bound motorcycle was struck by a S/B vehicle that had entered the intersection.
The operator of the motorcycle, John Nelson age 67 of St. Croix Falls, was transported to the hospital but did not survive his injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the St. Croix Falls Fire Department, St. Croix Valley EMS and Life Link III.
The crash is under investigation.
