BARRON COUNTY, WI -- In a significant boost to local law enforcement, Link Ford of Rice Lake has made a substantial financial donation to the Barron/Rusk Emergency Response Team (ERT), enabling the purchase of new tactical helmets. These helmets are designed to enhance safety and ensure that deputies can return home safely to their families.
The upgraded helmets boast improved capabilities, increased comfort, and better compatibility with the tactical equipment used by the ERT. This enhancement is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and safety of the team during high-risk operations.
In addition to benefiting the ERT, the current helmets will be repurposed for use by non-ERT members of the patrol division. This redistribution aims to bolster the safety of all deputies during various calls, further extending the positive impact of Link Ford's generosity.
"We can’t thank Link Ford and their employees enough for this donation, but more importantly, for their continued support of law enforcement," said Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald. "This donation not only helps our ERT members but all our deputies who serve your community."
Link Ford's commitment to supporting local law enforcement has been acknowledged as a vital contribution to the community's safety and well-being. The donation underscores the importance of community partnerships in ensuring the safety of those who protect and serve.
