Barron Man Arrested For 6th Offense OWI After Wisconsin State Patrol Stop

BARRON COUNTY — Justin Micheal Ausman, 43 years of age, from Barron has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense, according to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.

On Sunday, August 6, 2023, at approximately 7:45p, Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle on County W for a speed violation and unsafe lane deviation.

The Trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed the driver, Justin Micheal Ausman from Barron, WI, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant 6th offense.

Mr. Ausman was arrested and transported to the Barron Hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Barron County Jail.

Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
