HAYWARD, WI -- Authorities in Sawyer County will be conducting and participating in active shooter training on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, according to a press release from the City of Hayward Police Department.
Hayward PD says that on Tuesday, between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., the City of Hayward Police Department and Sawyer County Sheriffs Office along with local EMS, local fire departments, neighboring law enforcement agencies and State Patrol will be participating in an active shooter training at the Hayward High School. There will be signs posted stating training areas.
During this training exercise, the Hayward PD is requesting local traffic only.
