UPDATE: Suspect Wanted In Polk County Homicide Arrested

UPDATE: Joseph Hadro has been arrested and is in custody, according to the latest updated press release from authorities in Polk County. Hadro was arrested in Anoka County without incident.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Osceola Police Department thank both the Anoka and Chisago County Sheriff’s Offices for their assistance in capturing this fugitive.

Arrest Warrant Issued For Man Wanted For Homicide In Polk County

POLK COUNTY -- The Osceola Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted for homicide in Polk County, according to a joint press release from the Osceola Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The Osceola Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a homicide that occurred at 200 Seminole Avenue in the Village of Osceola on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

At approximately 5:22p on that date, the Osceola Fire Department was dispatched to a trailer home fire at lot #11. The Osceola Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded.

After the fire was extinguished, a deceased male, identified as Scott M. Zitzow, age 63, from Stacy, MN was located inside.

The circumstances that resulted in the death of the victim have been declared a homicide.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Joseph Patrick Hadro, age 44.

Hadro is not known to currently have a permanent address and has acquaintances and connections in Polk County, WI, and the east metro area of MN. Hadro may be armed, and he is dangerous.

Agencies assisting in this investigation include the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, Burnett Co. Sheriff’s Office, Pierce Co. Sheriffs Office, Hudson Police Dept. and the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
