POLK COUNTY -- Authorities in Polk County are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who allegedly stole tablecloths that did not belong to them from the Clayton Laundromat.
According to the Clayton Police Department, on the early morning hours of Monday, August 8, 2022, two unidentified male subjects entered the Clayton Laundromat. The victim had inadvertently forgotten about an undisclosed quantity of brand new (and freshly laundered) white tablecloths in the dryer which were removed and tabled by the two suspects as they went about their business of washing, drying and folding their laundry. Upon completing their laundry duties and loading up their vehicle with their laundry they returned and left with the tablecloths.
Efforts to identify the two subjects have been exhausted and the Clayton Police Department is now looking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects so they can be brought to justice before they strike again.
Any information about their identity can be preferably emailed to Clayton Officer Houx at vclaytonpd@amerytel.net or by voicemail at the Clayton Police Department phone- 715-948-2121.
