In light of the Winter Storm Warning currently in effect for Barron County, the Barron County Highway Department has made the difficult decision to postpone the 7th Avenue bridge repair project originally planned to begin on Monday, April 13, 2020, in the Town of Chetek.
Due to the forecasted snowfall totals and wind speeds, this project is now scheduled to begin on Monday, April 20, 2020.
This will affect any residents who live on the island or any of the traveling public planning to utilize the island.
