Emergency Services of Barron County has issued the following Sit (situation) Rep (report) regarding yesterday's plane fire.

At approximately 1418 hrs on June 24 2018, the Barron County 911 Center received a report of a plane on fire at the Rice Lake Airport in Cameron. All occupants were reported to be out of the aircraft with no injuries.
Upon approach, initial size-up indicated a Cessna 310 fixed-wing aircraft on the shoulder of Runway 119, nose down, fully engulfed with fire. Two occupants had exited the aircraft with no injuries. The pilot reported a smell of something hot with smoke in the cockpit, and proceeded with an emergency landing. The aircraft stopped, occupants exited, then the plane caught on fire. FAA, FSDO, and NTSB notified.
Responding agencies included Rice Lake Fire Department, Rice Lake Police Department, Lakeview Medical Center Ambulance, and the Barron County Sheriff’s Department.
