HAYWARD, WI -- An 18-year-old woman from Hayward, WI, has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol for suspicion for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance with a minor passenger in the vehicle and possession of THC, according to an OWI News Release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Destiny R Kingfisher, 18 years of age, from Hayward, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Saturday, June 26, 2021, at approximately 7:24p, a Wisconsin State Trooper stopped a vehicle on CTH B in the City of Hayward after observing that the exhaust on the vehicle was defective.
The trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed that the driver, Destiny R. Kingfisher, was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.
Ms. Kingfisher was arrested and transported to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office where an evidentiary test of her blood was completed.
Ms. Kingfisher is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance with a minor passenger in the vehicle and possession of THC.
"Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."
