MADISON, Wis. – With a $1 million Powerball win and a $200,000 top prize claim, the Wisconsin Lottery began February with a “Super” weekend. Saturday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1 million winner on a ticket purchased in Superior.
The lucky player matched all five numbers (10, 17, 18, 43, 65) not including the Powerball (13). Those winning numbers came from a ticket sold at the Kwik Trip at 3027 E. 2nd St., which will collect a $20,000 retailer incentive for the sale.
Player odds for winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 11,688,054. The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize in person at the Lottery’s Madison office.
Friday’s $200,000 prize claim kicked off the weekend. David Beck of Eau Claire claimed the third and final top prize in the Pot of Gold Crossword. He purchased his winning ticket at the Kwik Trip on 2135 Brackett Ave. in Eau Claire, which will receive $4,000 for its sale. Odds of a player winning the Pot of Gold top prize amount are 1 in 300,000.
